Blue Group: Your task is to finish the ZooBurst book. You must show us what life was like for the family. You can use the information from the No Place Like Home booklets to help you.
Red Group: Explore homelessness - what is it? Who is affected? What are the knock on effects? Read the case studies in Aonad 2 pg26 and discuss them. You will present your findings to the class.
Yellow Group: Have a look at the four pictures I have handed out (Numbers 16-19). Discuss the questions on pg74 of Aonad 7. Write your answers and present them to the class at the end of the session.
Questions:
What is happening in the photo?
Where was the photo taken?
How would you describe the people in the photo?
What happened shortly before the photo was taken?
What happened shortly after the photo was taken?
If you could speak to the people in the photo what would you like to say?
Write a caption for each photo.
Green Group:
What do people think when they see a homeless person on the street?
What kinds of words do you think they associate with homelessness?
What are the stereotypical ideas associated with homelessness?
What kind of person is out of home?
What reasons are there for being out of home?
